BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. Product exports through customs in Kermanshah Province, located in western Iran, have seen an increase of 10 percent in value and 4 percent in weight in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2025) compared to the same month last year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024), Reza Nikravesh, head of the province's customs, told reporters, Trend reports.
Nikravesh noted that exports during this period totaled approximately $191 million in value, amounting to 483,000 tons of goods.
The official also provided a breakdown of exports from various customs in the region: the Khosravi border customs handled exports worth $63.5 million, amounting to 155,000 tons; Parviz Khan customs accounted for $58.3 million and 139,000 tons; Sumar customs facilitated $44 million worth of exports, or 99,000 tons; Sheikh Saleh customs managed exports of $19 million, totaling 29,000 tons; and Shushami customs exported goods worth $5 million, or 58,000 tons.
He added that the main exports through Kermanshah customs included rebar, iron products, ceramics, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and rubber goods.
Kermanshah Province shares a border with Iraq, stretching 371 kilometers. There are two official border customs and five border markets operating in the region. Annually, over $3 billion worth of goods are exported through this border.
