The Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents said the certification activities of Det Norske Veritas are inconsistent and illegal, the office said.
"The decision was made after violations were revealed within the company - particularly breaches of ISO 9001-2000 standards and a lack of leadership instruments in accordance with the requirements of international and national certification systems," the committee said.
The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents is the central executive power agency shaping and executing state policy in the standardization, metrology, certification and protection of industrial property.
