The Azerbaijani State Railway (ASR) transferred 32.5 million manat to the country's public budget as tax in 2008, ASR Head Arif Asgarov said.
The ASR transferred 16.1 million manat to the State Social Protection Fund in 2008.
Moreover, the ASR paid 54.2 million manats for the used energy, fuel and water.
In 2008 the ASR allocated 65.4 million manat to pay salaries of employees.
A total volume of the ASR's expenses was 190 million manat in 2008. The ASR gained 58.25 million manat of profit in 2008.
In 2008, the ASR's income totaled 248.25 million manat, including 164.2 million manat - cargo conveyance, 34.5 million manat - passenger conveyances and the remained 50 million manat - income from subsidiary economy.
