Iran will start building the Gorgan-Bojnourd-Mashhad railway which will extend from north to the northeast of the country, the Fars News Agency quoted Iranian MP Mousarreza Servati as saying on February 24.
The project had been launched by the previous administration, but shelved due to various reasons, he added.
The project will be resumed next Saturday, he said, adding that the Central Bank will finance it.
The Gorgan-Bojnourd-Mashhad railway will be 630 kilometres in length.
