Iran's latest inflation rate hits 30.6%

Iran's Statistical Center announced the country's inflation rate for April-March 2019.

The Iran's inflation rate varies between 29.9 percent for the first decile and 32.7 percent for the tenth decile, which means the 30.6 percent as an average inflation rate, Trend reports citing the official website of Iran's Statistical Center.

The rate of 12-month inflation varies from 41.3 percent for the first decile to 45.9 percent for the tenth decile in the major group of "foods, beverages and tobacco."

The inflation gap in April was 2.8 percent, which means 0.2 percent decline in compare with the previous month.

Thus, the first decile represents 10 percent of households (or persons) with the lowest (or highest) salary, income and wealth, and the tenth decile represents the 10 percent of the richest ones.
