The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (Socar) sold over 229,100 tons of petrol on the domestic market compared to 223,000 tons in 2007, Socar said.
Roughly 182,000 tons of petrol were sold on the domestic market in 2006.
Around 389,500 tons of diesel were sold on the domestic market in 2008 compared to 347,000 tons in 2007. Kerosene production dropped to 19,200 tons in 2008 compared to 22,200 tons in 2007. Furnace mazut sales fell dramatically to 33,700 tons in 2008 compared to 86,500 tons in 2007.
Approximately 19,000 tons of gasoline, 32,000 tons of diesel, 4,000 tons of kerosene and 3,500 tons of mazut were sold in the country in December 2008.
