Nokia noted the demand for world-class business in Azerbaijan, Nokia Marketing Southern CIS Countries Director Ruslan Beisov said at the "Nokia Connecting Business" workshop in Baku.
Beisov said Azerbaijani companies understand that in a competitive economy, management must hit a new level.
Azerbaijan is a key country in the South Caucasus region and is strategically important for Nokia. Today, the company sees its businesses developing on the Internet, and becoming a Web company. The company cooperates with the local mobile operator Azerfon in Azerbaijan.
Based on Nokia data, 10 percent of the 360 million users of the Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes in the world have access to corporate e-mail today. These decisions do not require additional software, which is convenient for both users and operators. Direct access leads to an increased number of mobile mail users.
According to the company, in 2010, the more than 17 million new mobile e-mail users across the globe will use direct access.
During the workshop, Nokia Russia Product Manager Alexander Pokhatenko demonstrated the advantages of built-in mail client settings, as well as support for "Mail for Exchange" that does not require additional finances. This feature is available for companies using Microsoft Exchange Office and Outlook Express.
