BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 29. Kyrgyzstan Kyrgyzelectronika company - a subsidiary of Kyrgyzindustry OJSC - is set to initiate the assembly process of laptops and tablets under the local brands Bilim and Ilim utilizing its own manufacturing facilities, announced the company's director, Ilya Cherny, Trend reports.
"We received test samples of electronic computing machines and equipment from CloverTek, a well-known Chinese business that manufactures laptop and tablet components for a number of global companies, including Acer and Lenovo. Initially, we will test the assembly mechanism and process of equipment at our facilities," he noted, according to the company.
Cherny mentioned that the current focus is on assessing the cost, investments, and localization level.
Kyrgyzelectronika currently produces set-top boxes, Wi-Fi routers, and printers under the Pantum brand, as well as routers for telecommunication operators.
Efforts are underway to organize the assembly of self-service digital kiosks and other digital trading equipment, electronic ticket validators used in public transport, as well as fiscal cash register devices.
