BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $3.1 billion in 2022, Trend reports via the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
According to the statistics, this figure increased by 8.6 percent, compared to the same period last year.
During the relevant period, most of the Uzbek textile products were exported to Russia ($1.26 billion), followed by Türkiye ($519 million), Kyrgyzstan ($513.4 million), China ($284 million), Iran ($80 million), Poland (78.3 million), Tajikistan ($71.9 million), Kazakhstan ($61.1 million), Belarus ($45 million), Italy ($38.5 million), Ukraine ($38.1 million), Germany ($28.7 million), Azerbaijan ($20.3 million), and Egypt ($19.6 million).
From January through December 2022, more than 552 types of Uzbek textile products were exported to 73 countries of the world.
The statistics note that in the structure of textile exports, the main share is taken by cotton yarn (44.4 percent), as well as finished knitwear and garments (29.2 percent).
Furthermore, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover from January through December 2022 amounted to about $50.08 billion.
