Sand storms have hit Iran's southern Sistan & Baluchistan province, Mehr news agency reported.
The 100 km/h storms have trapped some 57 villages of the province, cutting them off other provinces.
According to the report, Iranian government is trying to transfer vital medicine, food and other necessities fo the province.
Earlier, some Iranian media outlets have reported that drought of Hamoon lake located in the Sistan region of eastern Iran, near the Afghanistan border, caused the sand storms.
According to Iranian media, earlier Iran's Khuzestan pvovince also suffered from heavy sand storms.
Iran has experienced several droughts in recent years, especially in the south where it gets hit by violent sand storms that engulfed several cities.
Sand storms particularly enter Iran from neighboring Iraq where desertification has increased over the last two decades due to wars.
