BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 2. During the 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2024 - February 18, 2025), the production of passenger cars of the Iranian Saipa Automobile Manufacturing Company decreased by 1.4%, or in other words, by 4,495 thousand units, compared to the same period last year (March 21, 2023 - February 19, 2024), Trend reports.
This was reflected in the report of kodal (codal.ir), which operates under the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran.
According to the report, during the 11 months, the Iranian Saipa Automobile Manufacturing Company produced 315,131 passenger cars. At the same time, it sold 319,626 passenger cars during the mentioned period.
The report states that in 11 months, the company produced 44,911 Shahin cars, 192,447 “X200” models (Tiba, Quick and Saina), and 11,597 other models.
The report states that in 11 months, 65,865 pickup trucks and 311 Toyota cars were produced.
Iran’s three largest automobile companies (Irankhodro, Saipa and Parskhodro) produced more than 896,000 passenger cars in 11 months. Passenger car production decreased by 1.1% compared to the same period last year.
