Three opposition parties in Azerbaijan are going to hold rally April 25.

"We have already applied to Baku's executive branch with a letter to provide us with relevant places", Citizens and Development Party chairman presented in Azadliq block Ali Aliyev said.

Aliyev said that several places in the city center are specified to hold rally.

"It is planned to voice a number of requirements in connection with the liquidation of the problems in the field of freedom of assembly, as well as making changes and amendments to the Electoral Code," he said.

He said that they try to hold a protest in any case, that is, regardless of the answer from the executive power in Baku.

A decision was made to hold mass rallies on the eve of parliamentary elections. Citizens and Development party and Liberal Party intend to support the actions.

Azadliq block was created by the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, Liberal Party and Musavat party on the eve of the parliamentary elections in 2005. After the elections Musavat party left the block and joined the Citizens and Development Party.
