Uzbek President Islam Karimov signed a decree to form the Republican Intellectual Property Agency, the Uzbek State Patent Office reported.
Based on the decree, the Republican Intellectual Property Agency was established on the basis of the Uzbek State Patent Office and the Republican Copyright Agency. The decree defines the main objectives and activities of the agency, approves its organization and structure of the central apparatus.
Two divisions were established under the new agency to implement these goals - State Unitary Enterprise "Intelligence expert" and a training center for retraining and upgrading skills in the field of intellectual property.
