Turkmenistan's Lebap region achieves bountiful vegetable yields

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 21. Farmers in Turkmenistan's Lebap region have achieved significant success in vegetable and melon crop yields this season, Trend reports citing Turkmen media.

The farmers successfully met state harvest targets, gathering 22,748 tons of onions and 13,700 tons of tomatoes.

Additionally, they harvested 1,011 tons of cucumbers and 42,311 tons of melons, contributing to the country's food security.

This season also saw a focus on growing mung beans and beans, with plans to harvest 4,650 tons of mung beans from 3,100 hectares of land. From 220 hectares, about 240 tons of beans have already been collected. These results highlight the farmers' commitment to meeting state objectives and increasing crop yields.

The Lebap region not only fulfilled its state plan but also made a significant contribution to Turkmenistan's food abundance, bolstering the economy and ensuring high-quality agricultural products.
