BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Azerbaijan imported 2,700 tons of pharmaceutical products in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that the cost of importing these products amounted to $51.8 million during the reporting period.
Compared to the same period last year, the quantity of pharmaceutical imports decreased by 1,000 tons, or 27.8 percent in volume terms, and increased by $6.4 million, or a 14 percent rise in value terms.
Moreover, Azerbaijan's pharmaceutical imports totaled 3,700 tons, with a value of $45.4 million in January 2024.
Pharmaceutical imports accounted for 2.53 percent of the country's total imports during the reporting period.
