ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 20. Turkmenistan continues to advance its digital banking infrastructure, with 95,211 users registered for mobile banking services nationwide as of July 1, 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Central Bank indicates that State Commercial Bank Turkmenistan leads in user base with 23,814 registered clients, followed by Halkbank with 18,466 and Dayhanbank with 17,111. Other institutions contributing to this growth include Turkmenbashi (12,884), Senagat (13,418), and Rysgal (7,530).
Although mobile banking usage remains lower than internet banking, the figures indicate steady progress in the adoption of mobile financial tools, supporting broader goals of accessibility and modernization under Turkmenistan’s national digitalization programs.
Established in 1991, the Central Bank of Turkmenistan plays a central role in overseeing the country’s financial infrastructure, including currency issuance, banking supervision, and the regulation of monetary policy.
