Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 May / Trend corr E. Ismayilov/ Evsen group of companies owing jointly with IranKhodro the Shamakhi Automobile Plant plans to commence export of Soren and Aziz cars in 2009, President of Evsen group of companies Ali Evsen said on 29 May.
This year Shamakhi automobile plant pans to produce 2,500 cars and 5,000 next year.
Production capacity of the enterprise totals 3,600 cars per year but is expected to be extended to 10,000 cars beginning from next year through new equipment.
At the end of May, Evsen, IranKhodro and Iran Export Development Bank signed contract on production of 10,000 cars in Azerbaijan - Azsamand EL (4,000), Azsamand LX (4,000), Azsamand Soren (2,000). The deal costs $73mln.
