Georgian government intends to develop money market of lari, president of the National Bank of Georgia, Giorgi Kadagidze said at the international conference in Tbilisi.
He said lari will help to restore credit activity and increase the availability of credit.
In the process of lari all deposits in commercial banks will be denominated in national currency of Georgia - lari.
Representatives of the National Bank of Georgia, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Monetary Fund, as well as finance ministries and central banks of 12 countries attend the conference.
