Iran discloses volume of investments made in Qazvin province

The foreign investments worth $650 million were made in industrial enterprises in Iran’s Qazvin province this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Deputy Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province Kamran Lashkari, said.

“The investors from 18 foreign countries have invested in 42 industrial enterprises in the province, and 4,000 people were provided with jobs,” Lashkari added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

“The activity of 40 foreign investors was registered in the province and five investors intend to get a license for activity,” the deputy chairman added.

"Three foreign investors received licenses last month," Lashkari said.

“The licenses were issued to two Chinese investors to invest 2.7 trillion rials (about $64.2 million) and 3.5 trillion rials (about $83.3 million) in the automotive industry,” the deputy chairman added. “Another license was issued to an Italian investor to invest six trillion rials (about $142 million) in the large-scale ceramic tiles production.”

“The licenses were issued for 2,200 out of 3,500 industrial enterprises to employ approximately 160,000 people in the province,” Lashkari added.

“Some 350 loans are planned to be issued this Iranian year [began March 21, 2019],” the deputy chairman added. “So far, the investments worth 1.1 trillion rials (about $28 million) have been made in the manufacturing sector.”
