Iran discloses volume of products exported from South Khorasan province

The products worth $311 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s north-eastern South Khorasan province during nine months from March 21 through December 21 of this Iranian year (began on March 21, 2019), Director General of the Customs Administration of the province Mohammed Ali Khashi said.

“During the reporting period, 1.9 million tons of products were exported,” Khashi added, Trend reports referring to IRIB.

The director general added that the export value increased by 45 percent while the export volume decreased by 19 percent.

"Some 994,000 tons of the products worth $69.3 million were exported from South Khorasan province, while 918,000 tons worth $242 million - from other provinces," Khashi said.

“Among the exported products were mainly cement, ceramics, light hydrocarbons, diesel, melons and gourds,” the director general added.

The director general said that these products were mainly exported to Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.

“Some 369,000 tons of products worth $30 million were imported in the reporting period,” Khashi said. "Solar panels and equipment for the production of ceramics were mainly imported from neighboring countries and China."
