Specialists of Turkmengaz State Concern began implementing a project on East-West internal pipeline construction after its feasibility study (FS), local media reported on Wednesday.
The construction of the strategically important pipeline will be carried out by the Turkmenistan FEC forces and can provide transportation of Turkmen gas to Europe both as part of the Nabucco project - through Azerbaijan and Turkey, and as part of the Caspian Sea project - through Kazakhstan and Russia.
Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper writes that the FS worked out the major decisions on its line of 785 kilometers and a diameter of 1420 millimeters, with a capacity of 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
