ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 16. The final stage of construction and installation work has begun to launch a factory for the production of Dore alloy in the Kokpekti district of the Abay region of Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
The project is implemented by Eastern Gold LLP, a subsidiary of Altyn Samruk Qazaqstan, which is included in the industrialization map of the Abay region.
The design capacity of the factory is to process 200,000 tons of ore and produce up to 200 kg of marketable products per year.
The ore will come from nearby quarries mining the Rodnikovoe and Belaya Gorka deposits. Thus, a new full-cycle enterprise will appear here, from ore mining to the production of Dore alloy. The minimum reserves confirmed today are sufficient to ensure the operation of the factory for at least 8–10 years.
The total cost of the project is 1 billion tenge (about $2.1 billion).
Thanks to the construction and launch of the factory, about 60 new jobs will be created. Employment will be provided to residents of nearby villages.
