Uzbekistan notes decline in output volume of metallurgical industry

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 8. The output of Uzbekistan's metallurgical industry totaled 139 trillion soums ($10.8 billion) from January through October 2024.

The data obtained by Trend from the country's statistics agency showed that this figure increased by 37 percent year-on-year (101.4 trillion soums or $7.8 billion in January-October 2023).

The share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 23.3 percent.

At the same time, the volume of other non-metallic products reached 32.9 trillion soums ($2.5 billion) in the mentioned period. Compared to the same period last year, this volume increased by 48.8 percent (22.1 trillion soums, or $1.7 billion from January-October 2023).

The share of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 5.5 percent.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 704.1 trillion soums ($54.7 billion) from January through October 2024. This figure has increased by 36.8 percent year-on-year (519.1 trillion soums, or $40.3 billion in January–October 2023).
