Several highway projects will be put into operation by the order of the Iranian President and with the presence of Iran`s Minister of Roads and Urban Development and the CEO of Iran's Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructures Company (CDTIC), tomorrow on July 15.
In order to improve the country's road transport network and develop highway corridors, 321 km of roads and highways in 17 provinces will be inaugurated and put into operation, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
These projects include 20 km of highways in West Azerbaijan province, 28 km of highways in Bushehr Province, 35 km of highways in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, 25 km of main roads and highways in South Khorasan province, 11 km of main roads in Khorasan Razavi Province, 13 km of highways in North Khorasan Province, 14 km of highways in Khuzestan Province, 10 km of main roads in Semnan Province, 43 km of main roads and highways in Sistan and Baluchestan, 10 km of main roads and highways in Fars province, 24 km of main roads in Kerman, 12.5 km of highways in Golestan, 5 km main road in Gilan, 28.5 km of highways in Lorestan, 20 km of highways in Markazi province, 10 km of highways in Hormozgan and 17 km of highways in Yazd province.
At the opening ceremony, a total of 26 highway projects with a length of 321 km and an investment of $728 million will be put into operation.
