Members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ruling Likud Party go to the polls Sunday to choose the candidates for the party's list in the January 22 elections.
Under Israel's proportional representation system, voters choose parties instead of individual candidates in each constituency. Legislators enter parliament - or not - according to their place on the list drawn up before the election.
Likud has made a deal to run on a joint list with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beteinu party. Several spots on the list have been reserved, and there are only 25 up for grabs Sunday between 97 candidates.
Party leader Netanyahu is guaranteed the top spot on the list.
