Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 7

By Rufiz Hafizoglu – Trend:

Turkey has fulfilled all 72 commitments within the EU accession, the Turkish Ministry for EU Affairs told Trend Feb. 7.

"Turkey has not changed its strategy towards the EU," the ministry said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet with President of the European Council Donald Tusk, Head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in Varna (Bulgaria) on March 26.

The association agreement between the EU and Turkey was signed in 1963. Ankara filed an application for membership in the EU in 1987, but accession negotiations were launched in 2005.
