The Turkish port of Aliaga in Izmir Province received 451 ships in January 2021, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Feb.19.
According to the ministry, in the reporting month, among the received ships 109 ones flew the Turkish flag, and the remaining ones - flags of other countries.
Overall, in January this year, Turkish ports received 4,002 ships, including 1,218 ones flying the Turkish flags, the ministry said.
“The remaining 2,784 ships received by the local ports flew the flags of other countries,” added the ministry.
