French delegation to attend int'l forum in Baku

A French delegation will take part in the international forum of civilizations on intercultural dialogue in Baku on April 7-9.

French Senator Nathalie Goulet, Diplomatic Adviser to the French Culture Minister Florent Stora and Mayor of the 7th Arrondissement in Paris, MEP, former French Justice Minister France Rachida Dati will arrive in Baku, Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Elchin Amirbeyov told Trend.

France accepted the idea of an intercultural dialogue and recognizes Azerbaijan's important role in this aspect. The delegation's participation is evidence of this fact, the diplomat said.

More than 20 countries will attend the forum in Baku on April 7-9, the Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry said earlier.

The event will be attended by culture ministers from more than 20 countries in Europe, Asia and America. In addition, the UNESCO, ISESCO and Council of Europe heads are expected to attend.

A special cultural program will also be provided to the forum guests, within which they will get acquainted with the Azerbaijani art and history.

The exhibition "Jews, Christians and Muslims: Ancient Records, Intercultural Dialogue" will open at the forum with the support of the Azerbaijani and Austrian culture ministries.
