Defense Threat Reduction Agency Director Kenneth Myers will visit Azerbaijan next week, U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Brayza told Trend.
"The visit aims to strengthen U.S.-Azerbaijan relations in fighting security threats," Bryza said. "The Azerbaijani government is one of our main partners and Washington highly values this fact."
Bryza said Myers is an expert on the region and works with Senator Richard Lugar.
