ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 7. Top-notch companies in Kazakhstan are throwing their hats in the ring to champion human rights and gender equality with a fresh agreement, Trend reports.
The companies of Samruk-Kazyna signed a document aimed at strengthening efforts in the field of human rights and gender equality.
The signing involved leaders from Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstan Railways), Kazatomprom, QazaqGaz, KazMunayGas, Samruk-Energy, KEGOC, KazakhTelecom, KazPost, Tau-Ken Samruk, and Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu.
Representatives of the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan also attended the event, emphasizing the importance of signing this document and explaining how adherence to human rights and gender equality affects the social sustainability of businesses and the well-being of employees.
Additionally, during the event, Samruk-Kazyna Managing Director Gibrat Auganov summarized the results of 2024 and awarded four national companies for their outstanding performance in social and labor issues. These were Kazatomprom, Kazakhstan Railways, KEGOC, and KazPost.
