Iran focuses on facilitating border train movement with neighboring countries
Iran aims to boost cross-border rail transport to 40 million tons annually by improving logistics at eight railway borders. Deputy Minister Jabbar Ali Zakeri highlighted recent efforts, including a $1.08 billion contract that added 600 freight wagons, 30 passenger wagons, and 50 locomotives. So far, 192 freight wagons have been commissioned, and expansion continues at the Aprin terminal in Tehran.
