Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend / On 26 April a leading vessel of RSD17 project, namsed after Riad Ahmadov, a National Hero of Azerbaijan, was launched for a shipping company Palmali Group at Krasnoye Sormovo plant. The contract envisages the constrcuon of 5 dry cargos under this project.
A leading vessel of RSD17 project, Mirzaga Khalilov, was presented to the consumer in November 2006, Ismayl Shikhly, second vessel under project, was thrown to the water late this December 2006, and Shirvan was thrown to the water in February 2007.
Dry cargo RSD17 with the deadweight of 6,270 tons with the limited sail area is allocated for delivery of all kinds of cargo, including 20-40-feet containers of international standard till 9 feet, metal, grains, forestry, cool, bulky and heavy cargo.
Maximal length of the vessel is 121.7m, width - 16.7m, height of the board - 6.20m, immersion - 5.06m. Dry cargo has three cargo cells with the total volume of 9,370 cu m, the volume of ballast tanks is 3,120 cu m, the number of containers - 234 pieces. Autonomous sailing is 20/25 a day, speed - 11.5 junctions, and crew - 12/14 people.
The dry cargo project was developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau ( Odessa city) KM*LU2 I А1 class of the Russian Marine Register of Shipment and meets wall requirements of the international conventions. The most advanced constrictive solutions have been applied on the vessel. All subsidiary premises have been minimized with respect to increase the carrying capacity of the vessel. The energy installation was selected through the method which enables fuel economy. The vessel is difficult to construct, while commercially reasonable.
