ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 2. The Lebapgazchykarysh department of the Turkmengaz State Concern in Turkmenistan repaired 11 gas wells from January through May of this year and thereby increased gas production, Trend reports.
According to the official source, at the moment the department is working at the Malai gas field, where a large amount of natural gas is produced.
In total, more than 2.22 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced from this field last year.
Meanwhile, the Turkmengaz State Concern estimates the nation's hydrocarbon resources at over 71 billion tons of oil equivalent. This volume includes more than 20 billion tons of oil and more than 50 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
