ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 23. The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has approved new maximum wholesale prices for commercial gas for the domestic market, Trend reports.
The new wholesale price caps have been set by a separate order from the Ministry of Energy and will be in effect from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
The capped wholesale gas prices for large commercial consumers and cryptocurrency miners in various regions are as follows:
Astana and Akmola region – 72,846 tenge ($143.60)
Almaty and Almaty region – 76,686 tenge ($151.20)
Shymkent – 71,122 tenge ($140.20)
Aktobe region – 54,933 tenge ($10.80)
Atyrau region – 41,993 tenge ($82.80)
West Kazakhstan region – 55,365 tenge ($109)
Zhambyl region – 70,639 tenge ($139.30)
Zhetysu region – 76,686 tenge ($151.20)
Karaganda region – 72,846 tenge ($143.60)
Kostanay region – 62,951 tenge ($124.10)
Kyzylorda region – 59,179 tenge ($116.70)
Mangystau region – 57,649 tenge ($113.70)
Turkestan region – 71,122 tenge ($140)
Ulytau region – 72,846 tenge ($143.70)
East Kazakhstan region – 13,069 tenge ($25.80)
Retail tariffs for households will be determined separately, with particular attention given to protecting socially vulnerable groups.
