Haier may lease computer equipment for Uzbekistan's schools and universities, the Ministry of Public Education said referring to a meeting of the Uzbek Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov with a delegation of the Chinese company led by President Zhou Yun.
During the meeting, which was organized with participation of the Uzbek home appliances manufacturer O’zeltexsanoat, the Uzbek side presented the plans to reform the public education system, in particular, through the introduction of modern information technologies and the revision of the computer science curriculum.
Yun talked about the experience of Haier in the education sphere. He noted that the company has developed various solutions, including “smart classes”, “smart laboratories”, “e-education”, etc. These solutions are being or will be implemented in different countries of the world.
Representatives of the Chinese company also presented samples of computers that they offer for Uzbek schools and universities.
The parties discussed the establishment of cooperation and the possibility of leasing Haier’s computer equipment.
Haier Group Corporation is a Chinese collective multinational consumer electronics and home appliances company headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong, China. It designs, develops, manufactures and sells products, including air conditioners, mobile phones, computers, microwave ovens, washing machines, refrigerators and TV sets. According to data released by Euromonitor in 2014, the Haier brand had the world's largest market share in white goods, with a 10.2 percent retail volume market share. This was the sixth consecutive year in which Haier had been the market leader for major appliances.
