Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Adel Mosadegh has inaugurated seven road projects in Tehran Province, worth $35 million.
The projects included improvement of the second ring road in Tehran Province, building road offices, village roads, building landscapes for roads and renewing the asphalt covering the roads.
"The main roads in the province that ordinarily face daily traffic need to be improved," said Mosadegh.
"The southern roads in the province that connect to the International Imam Khomeini Airport need to have beautiful landscape in the area," he explained.
"Another plan is to build low cost roads in villages by using local resources that would enables local people to participate in the project," he said.
"Installing equipment and establishing road offices would increase the capacity to provide services to the citizens during winter seasons," he said.
"The plan to improve the second ring road in Tehran was inaugurated by $7.1 million investment for the first phase of the project, the 15 kilometers road would accelerate the transportation," he said.
"The second phase is expected to widen the 28 kilometers ring road and implement safety measures, the second ring road would connect Islamshahr County to Ray County," he said.
