Kyrgyzstan's weekly exports of agricultural products uptick

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 22. A total of 6,245 tons of agricultural products were exported from Kyrgyzstan’s regions within the country and abroad from August 11 through 17, 2023, which is 21.9 percent more than 5,120 tons from August 4 through 10, Trend reports.

4,209 tons of agricultural goods were exported from the Chuy region, said the nation's Ministry of Agriculture. 988 tons of vegetables were exported from them to nations including Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia.

379 tons of fruits were among the 1,142 tons of agricultural products exported from the Osh region.

The Batken region exported 373 tons of agricultural goods in total. During this week, 151 tons of garlic and 67 tons of potatoes were exported to Uzbekistan.

Agriculture-related exports from the Talas region totaled 304 tons. 130 tons of legumes were shipped from this region to nations like Georgia, Pakistan, and India. 19 tons of potatoes were also delivered to Pakistan.

rom the Jalal-Abad region, 114 tons of agricultural products were exported. Of them, 42 tons of walnuts were exported to Romania and Georgia.

The Issyk-Kul region exported 102 tons of agricultural products. Some 55 tons of garlic were exported to Kazakhstan, while 45 tons of apricots were sent to Kazakhstan and Russia.

Moreover, Kyrgyzstan’s regions imported 14,816 tons of agricultural products during the reporting week. The figure is 154 tons less than in the previous week from August 4 through 10.
