ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 26. The Halach factory of artistic carpet making, located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, produced over 3,600 square meters of carpets from January through May this year, Trend reports.
According to the information, in the specified month, the enterprise produced carpets worth over 8.3 million Turkmen manat, which is equivalent to $2.3 million.
In addition to carpets of ordinary sizes, the factory achieves high results in the production of large carpets, round, octagonal, horseshoe-shaped, trapezoidal, and gift carpets according to the size of buildings.
Turkmenhaly State Association is the main supplier of renowned Turkmen handmade pure-wool fleecy carpets from Turkmenistan to the world market.
The main activities of the association are the production and sale of Turkmen carpets, as well as the preservation of the traditions of hand-made carpet weaving.
Meanwhile, from January through May of this year, the enterprises of the Turkmenhaly State Association fulfilled the carpet production plan by 100.9 percent.
