TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 1. Uzbekistan's trade turnover with Afghanistan totaled $762.1 million from January through September 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan indicated that this figure increased by 23.8 percent compared to the same period in 2023, when the trade turnover was $615.3 million.
Afghanistan has landed a spot among the top ten countries when it comes to Uzbekistan's foreign economic turnover during the reporting period.
Total exports to Afghanistan from Uzbekistan amounted to $739.5 million; this figure increased by 21.4 percent year-on-year ($608.7 million from January through September 2023).
Uzbekistan's imports from Afghanistan reached $22.6 million from January through September 2024. This figure increased by 242.4 percent compared to the same period last year ($6.6 million from January through September 2023).
Uzbekistan's total trade turnover amounted to $48.2 billion from January through September 2024. This indicator increased by 7.7 percent compared to the same period last year ($44.7 billion from January through September 2023).
