BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. The customs administration of Isfahan Province, located in central Iran, facilitated the export of $152 million worth of goods, totaling around 230,000 tons, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2025), Rasool Kuhestani, Director of Isfahan Customs, told reporters, Trend reports.
Kuhestani highlighted that exports through Isfahan’s customs included oil products valued at $49 million, dairy products worth $22 million, iron and steel products totaling $18 million, carpets at $13 million, and copper and copper products amounting to $7 million.
Over this period, goods were exported to 57 countries, with major recipients including Pakistan at $46 million, Iraq at $28 million, Afghanistan at $23 million, the UAE at $14 million, and Türkiye at $10 million.
In terms of imports, Isfahan customs reported handling $78.8 million worth of goods totaling 21,300 tons.
"Among the imports were various machinery valued at $31 million, electrical equipment at $7 million, iron and steel products at $7 million, and aluminum goods worth $6 million. The main countries of origin included China with $20 million, the UAE with $18 million, Türkiye with $15 million, Germany with $6 million, and Italy with $4 million,” he noted.
The Iranian Customs Administration data shows that non-oil exports from across Iran reached $8.24 billion in value, totaling 24.6 million tons during the same two-month period. Compared to the previous year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024), non-oil exports showed a slight decline of 0.11 percent in value but an increase of 4.4 percent in volume.
Meanwhile, non-oil imports totaled $8.47 billion and 5.92 million tons, reflecting a 7.8 percent decrease in value but a slight increase of 1.16 percent in volume compared to the previous year.
