Iran reveals total growth in non-oil exports to Uzbekistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 15. Iran's non-oil exports to Uzbekistan grew by 20.9 percent in value and 17.2 percent in weight during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).

The data obtained by Trend from the Iranian Customs Administration shows that the export weight reached 374,000 tons and value - $262 million during the reporting period versus 319,000 tons and $216 million to Uzbekistan in eight months of last year.

The statistics also mentioned that the exports mainly covered milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, glass containers, agricultural equipment, and many others.

Additionally, Iran's trade turnover with Uzbekistan from March 20 through November 20, 2024 amounted to 414,000 tons worth $321 million.

To note, Iran's exports of non-oil products abroad amounted to 104 million tons worth $38.2 billion during the reporting period, increasing by 18 percent in value and 14.6 percent in weight.
