A new meeting of the international "Friends of Libya" group is foreseen in New York on September 20, French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said on Saturday, reported dpa.
Over 60 countries and multilateral organizations took part in the Friends of Libya conference that in Paris on Thursday, where leaders called for reconciliation and pledged to return billion of dollars in frozen Libyan overseas assets.
The new meeting of the Friends of Libya is set to take place on the sidelines of the inauguration of the United Nations General Assembly, which is regularly attended by the world's leaders.
Juppe said the UN should play "a leading role" in the post-conflict planning in Libya.
