Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 May / Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has put into exploitation a new oil mud-treating facility in the Bibi Heybat oil field and in a workshop of the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, SOCAR reported on 7 May.
The facilities will enable the treatment and separation of 30 cu m of oil mud per hour.
The facilities (two-phase modular decanters) made by Alfa-Laval were purchased through the investments of the foreign co-founder of the Engineering Services Ecol CJSC, co-founders of which are SOCAR (51%) and Lancer S.A. Services (49%).
The new equipment was purchased within the framework of the SOCAR ecological programme for 2006-2010.
Engineering Services Ecol was established on 1 March 2006 to solve ecological problems encountered in the Absheron Peninsula.
