Iran hails Kazakhstan’s membership at OPEC: Ahmadinejat

"We hail Kazakhstan's membership at all international organizations, including OPEC," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated in a news conference in Astana on Apr. 6.

During the visit to Kazakhstan the Iranian delegation discussed the construction of an oil refinery plant in the north of Iran, Trend correspondent in Astana reported.

An initial capacity of the ORP might be equal 15 million tons a year. The project with the budget of $266-275 million can be reimbursed in three years.  

OPEC unites 11 countries - Algeria, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Venezuela.
