The output of productions of defensive designation is likely to increase by 4.7% in 2011 on the basis of the Government Defensive Order Program. This was reported at onsite meeting of the Ministry of Defensive Industry's Board devoted to the activities of Ministry-controlled enterprises in the first quarter, the Ministry reported.
As stated at the meeting, measures envisioned by the Government Defensive Order Program went on being implemented in the reported period. It was also noted that the output of defensive productions manufactured according to the agreements with Azerbaijan's force structures has increased by more than 11 times against the respective period of 2010. Besides, the output of productions of civil designation saw a growth of 32.3 percent as compared to the respective period of last year.
Therefore, in accordance with the Government Defensive Order Program, this year it is assumed to create 107 kinds of productions on 86 topics to cover 214 stages. Part of the stages was completed in the reported period while work on the rest ones is underway.
Minister Yaver Jamalov highly appreciated the work done in the reported period. It is no possible to be satisfied with the achieved results, according to him. The Ministry should continue to mobilize all its forces to fulfill the important tasks it set forth to supply the Armed Forces with arms and ammunition in compliance with modern requirements.
The Board's onsite meetings at the Ministry's plants and scientific-production units, devoted to the results of the first quarter operation, were held on April 5-11.
