ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 1. National Information Technologies (NIT) is implementing a project to upgrade the server infrastructure for Kazakhstan’s government agencies, Trend reports.
The project, valued at 34.3 billion tenge (approximately $65.17 million), is the first by NIT to be financed through a credit line with the Development Bank of Kazakhstan (DBK), reducing reliance on budgetary funds.
As the operator of Kazakhstan’s e-government infrastructure, NIT aims to enhance the reliability and security of government information systems. The initiative includes the procurement and installation of modern server equipment to support digital transformation and improve public service delivery.
“This project will create a fault-tolerant infrastructure for government systems, strengthening data protection and advancing the country’s digital transformation,” said Marat Yelibaev, Chairman of DBK.
NIT manages Kazakhstan’s e-government infrastructure, artificial intelligence systems, and the unified transport network for government agencies, ensuring technical support for central and regional authorities.
