ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 21. By June 1 of this year, Kazakhstan's grain reserves stood at 8.6 million tons, Trend reports via the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
According to the information, the grain reserves in Kazakhstan amount to 8.6 million tons, of which 7.3 million tons are food-grade grain.
“The volume of wheat amounts to 7.4 million tons, including 2.7 million tons held by legal entities engaged in crop farming, 2.6 million tons at elevators, 818,000 tons at flour milling and cereal enterprises, and 167,000 tons with wholesale traders and other owners,” the Ministry’s press service stated.
The ministry also noted that this indicates a stable situation in the grain market, demonstrating the ability not only to meet domestic demand but also to continue exporting at established levels.
Additionally, as of today, the stocks of the Kazakhstan’s National Company “Food Contract Corporation” include 1.2 million tons of grain, including 1.0 million tons of food-grade grain.
Thus, the grain market in Kazakhstan is in a stable position,
ensuring the country’s food security and supporting export
potential.
In 2024, the country harvested a record grain crop - 25.2 million
tons in weight after processing, including 18.6 million tons of
wheat. Throughout the entire marketing year, comfortable prices
were maintained for the flour milling and livestock industries.
