Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers approved the rules of the extension of patents, which are an example of the invention and industry.
Under the rules, the term of the patent may be extended for not more than five years, i.e for the period the administrative procedures. Proposals to extend the term of the patent must be submitted to the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan.
The regulations came into force on the date of signature - 12 April.
