Pasha Sıgorta led the ranking on insurance premiums as in the previous month, which accounted for 13.63 percent of premiums collected by all companies in January-December. By the end of 2011, the share of insurance premiums of Pasa Sıgorta was 4.9 percent.
It is due to selection of Pasha Sıgorta as an insurer of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for voluntary health insurance.
AzSığorta (11.62 percent of all collections of the market) and Ateshgah Sıgorta (11.04 percent) ranked the second and third respectively.
Pasha Sıgorta is the market leader also in terms of insurance claims. Last year, the company paid 22.87 million manat, which is 24.37 percent of all claims during January-December. In 2011, Pasa Sıgorta had 3.56 percent of all claims.
It is followed by Azersıgorta with 11.77 million manat (12.54 percent of total payments) and Ateshgah Sıgorta with 9.43 million (10.05 percent).
The total amount of premiums of all insurance companies hit 342.52 million manat by the end of 2012 (a 60.8-percent increase during year) and claims hit 93.86 million manat (a 52.45-percent increase).
