Georgia's foreign trade turnover in January-July 2013 amounted to $5.662 billion. As Gruzstat (The National Statistics Office of Georgia) informed Trend, this figure is two percent lower than during the same period in 2012.
Exports amounted to $1.476 billion, or nine percent higher than in 2012. Imports, in turn, reached $4.186 billion, or five percent lower than last year.
The amount of negative trade balance of Georgia stood at $2.71 billion, accounting for 48 percent of the total foreign trade turnover of the country.
Revised data on foreign trade indicators will be published on August 26.
